Good Beer and Good Cheer at Alpine Beer Company
In an effort to keep us in your current thoughts, I’m sending you some news about the goings on at our little brewery/pub. As you may know by now, we opened our tiny pub without any fanfare but now have things running smooth enough to announce some special offerings. Most of the hardcore beer people are safely at the “Great American Beer Festival” in Denver right now so you may get a chance at a seat in the pub for our special this Friday, Sept. 17th.
Our first official cask conditioned beer will be served starting promptly at 5:00 PM Friday, Sept. 17th. A pin of “Hoppy Birthday – the most celebrated beer in the world” is going on the beer engine and will stay on until it’s gone. Along with this English-style session ale, Hoppy Birthday, we’ll be smoking some “Buffalo English Arm Roasts.” Star B Ranch in Ramona raises both buffalo and hops and will be selling us some of their delectable buffalo meat. So come by for a pint and some lean smoked meat this Friday.
Our tap list at the pub includes some vintage brews. We have our core beers available, Willy, Willy Vanilly, Alpine Ale, Mandarin Nectar, McIlhenney’s Irish Red, Nelson, Duet and Pure Hoppiness. We’re out of Captain Stout until next week. Also, we have Great 2009, Ned – our Flanders Red and Briscoe from a long time ago, April of ‘08. The Briscoe is almost still but delivers an incredibly good flavor, the wine barrel aging adds depth and complexity.
We brewed “Token,” our Imperial Porter which is scheduled to be released on September 28th. Draught and growler fills only as we do not bottle this award winning elixir.
A fresh batch of “Hoppy Birthday” is slotted to be available around October 5th, yum. We don’t bottle it either so pints, pitchers and growler fills only.
I will be posting our tap list more frequently on our “blog.” This e-mail newsletter will be for announcing special releases and events from now on. You’ll be able to access the “blog” more frequently for the day to day listings and receive newsletters only occasionally. To get to the “blog spot” log onto http://mcbrew.wordpress.com/ for the most current information.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print. Hope to see you at the pub over a pint soon. Thanks to all who donated to my fundraising efforts for the MS Society and would encourage more of you to give a little for a worthy cause.
