Alpine Beer Company Is Changing
I’m brewing beer right now! I absolutely love brewing beer, that’s why I started this business. The world is a beautiful place right now!
This newsletter marks the start of how we tell you about our casks, tap list and non-essential information. We’ll continue to e-mail you about new beer releases and upcoming re-releases and special events. Since we’ll be trying to have a weekly cask and an occasional special dish at the pub, you’ll be able to access our web site, http://alpinebrewing.com/contacts.html or our blog site, http//mcbrew.wordpress.com for what’s on tap and cask that week.
Today, Friday Oct. 1, 2010, we will be tapping a cask of “Toasted coconut and rum soaked oak chips infused Token,” our Imperial Porter. That means our 8.5% abv chocolatey rich award winning beer will be dispensed from a hand pump called a “beer engine” starting at 5:00 PM sharp. We have a couple of menu items we’re checking out, sweet potato fries and fried green beans. If you like them, tell your server.
On Tuesday, October 5, 2010, we’ll be serving our very first guest beer. It’s a special beer made at Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp. It’s called “Ghidorah IPA” and weighs in at 8.2% abv. I have had the pleasure of tasting it before and it was one of the best, non-Alpine, IPA’s I’ve had in a long time. On tap only while it lasts.
The pub is now fully climate controlled. Don’t fear the heat or cold any more. We have a new, super high tech device that can set the atmosphere to anything from “tropical paradise” to “arctic breeze.” I prefer the “mountain meadow” setting myself, except for the deer. I can now turn my attention to setting up a patio area for outside seating. Will it ever end?
That’s all I have time for today, I’m busy BREWING BEER!
